Had the op on my foot two years back and the dog walk got shorter and shorter — I was turning round at the postbox. I've had these six weeks and last Sunday I did the full loop round the reservoir. Didn't think about my feet once, which is the whole point really.

Forty years I've squeezed a bunion into shoes that punished me for it, because that's what you do. The wife ordered these behind my back after I'd complained once too often. They're the only pair I've worn since. I've stopped taking them off the minute I get in.

Tough gloves for my feet, that's the only way I can put it. Thought the flexible sole would feel cheap and it's the opposite — they hold their shape all day. Ordered the grey a fortnight later. That's me sorted for shoes now.

These come up snug. Order one size up.

Wide feet? Size up, no second-guessing.
Measure your foot at the end of the day, when it's at its widest. That's the size to order — not the one you wore at twenty.

Ordered these fully expecting to send them back like the last three pairs. Had them on for the dog walk Sunday, couple of miles, and forgot about my feet the whole way round. Not happened in a long while.

Nearly ordered my usual 8 out of habit. Read the bit about going up, got the 9, and that was the right call because they are snug. Wife reckons I've mentioned them too much this week. Probably fair.

The bendy sole put me off at first, thought it would fold under me. It doesn't, it just moves with you and stays firm underfoot. Been on the warehouse floor in them since June.

Sized up, and glad I did
Ordered a size up like the site tells you to and they fit properly first time. No breaking in either, wore them straight out on the school run. Barely any weight on the foot, either. Second pair going in soon.

It was never my feet
Two years I've put the ache down to my age and got on with it. A week in these and it had gone. It was never my feet, it was what I'd been putting them in all that time. Wish I'd worked that out sooner.

Four months of daily wear
I'm on my feet all day and I've had these since the spring. Stitching hasn't moved and the sole hasn't parted company with the upper. More than I can say for the last two pairs I bought on the high street.

Frequently Asked Questions
What size should I order?
One size up from your usual. They come up snug, and that's the single thing people get wrong. If your feet are on the wider side, size up and don't second-guess it. Measure your foot at the end of the day, when it's at its widest, and check it against the chart above.
A sole that bends that much — won't it wear out?
It's flexible and hard-wearing, which aren't opposites. The bend comes from how the sole is built, not from making it thin, and the upper is hand-stitched right the way round instead of glued. Glue is what fails at month three on a high-street shoe; there isn't any here.
They're suede. What happens in the rain?
Drizzle, dew and wet grass run off, and that covers most British mornings. They are not waterproof and we won't tell you they are — no suede shoe is. Keep them out of puddles, brush them once they're dry, and give them a suede protector now and then.
